Arcade Fire and Preservation Hall Jazz Band Present "Pretty Things" A Memorial Parade for Bowie

On Saturday, January 16, 2016 thousands of revelers celebrated the life of the legendary Mr. David Bowie during a memorial parade through the French Quarter co-hosted by our dear friends, Arcade Fire. Thousands dressed in their "best Bowie outfits or something more strange" joined members of Arcade Fire, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, The Pinettes Brass Band, and members of the Preservation Hall staff and musical collective on a celebratory musical journey commencing from the Hall looping down St. Peter St to the Mississippi River and culminating outside One Eyed Jacks. It was an honor to commemorate the life and legacy of one of the most unique artists and human beings to ever grace this earth with so many of you.
