On Sunday, November 6, 2016 The Preservation Hall Jazz Band with special guests The Blind Boys of Alabama were the house band for Jam The Vote, "A Night for the Soul" to benefit Head Count at The Capital Theatre in Port Chester, New York.
Ben Jaffe, Creative Director of Preservation Hall also served as MC for the evening. Special guest performers included, Alex Ebert, Amayo, Amy Helm, Andy Falco, Craig Finn, DJ Logic, Eugene Hutz, Eric Krasno, George Porter Jr., Irma Thomas, Ivan Neville, Joe Russo, Lee Fields, Marc Brownstein, Matisyahu, Nicole Atkins, Questlove, Robert Randolph, Sam Cohen, Tom Hamilton, Win Butler, Valerie June & more.
Win Butler backed up by Preservation Hall Jazz Band cover Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the U.S.A.". A song Arcade Fire has also played as a band. The collab happened during 'Jam The Vote', an event at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY - 2016-11-06.
