STOMP Troopers Benefit
Tonight, Saturday, December 3rd, 2016, an epic Battle of the Bands will shake the walls of Castillo Blanco Art Studios, the massive float building center and event space that is home to the Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus. The STOMP Troopers, a drumming krewe for youth with autism, will be joining forces with members of the Preservation Hall musical collective to face off against the Noisician Coalition, a musical group famous for performing on self-made instruments.The drumming duel, refereed by Darth Vader, will raise money for the STOMP Troopers parade costumes, drums and workshops, provided by NOLArts Learning Center.The event will also feature a cash bar courtesy of NOLA Brewing, food trucks, DJs and bands, auction,and an oversize, cash-filled Death Star piñata.
