Photo Montage: Preservation Hall Jazz Band & Special Guests From Haiti & Cuba Present "C’est Ainsi" Live At The Music Box

On Sunday, May 14, 2017, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band & special guests from Haiti & Cuba presented "C’est Ainsi" live at The Music Box Village for two performances at 6 & 8 PM CST.

By connecting the trade routes of the Afro-Caribbean via Haitian, Cuban and New Orleanian stars of percussion, C’est Ainsi brought the Afro-Cuban aesthetics of Preservation Hall Jazz Band’s new album “So It Is” outside and under the stars.

New Orleans Airlift invited the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and premiere guest percussionists to connect the French and Spanish Caribbean through channels of sound, in a residency in our musical town.
