Connecting the trade routes of the Afro-Caribbean via Haitian, Cuban and New Orleanian stars of percussion, C’est Ainsi brings the Afro-Cuban aesthetics of Preservation Hall Jazz Band’s new album “So It Is” outside and under the stars.
New Orleans Airlift has invited the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and premiere guest percussionists to connect the French and Spanish Caribbean through channels of sound, in a residency in our musical town. Join us for this one-time chance to experience their original collaborative creation in a site unlike any other.
