- Tickets On Sale NOW -

Led by guitarist and singer Dominic Minix, Yung Vul combines genres from modern jazz and hip hop to punk in a brooding, yet intimate sound.

Dominic Minix grew up in New Orleans, where he developed his unique style of playing by studying under and playing alongside New Orleans musical greats like Jesse McBride, Donald Harrison, and Delfeayo Marsalis and through his studies at the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts (NOCCA), Berklee College of Music Summer Institute, and Loyola University.

In 2015 Minix toured internationally with Grammy winning trumpeter Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah and can be seen on NPR's "Tiny Desk" YouTube Series. Minix has since released his own recordings, including Introducing, the Dominic Minix Quartet's neo-soul influenced jazz album,  Numb Me Now a punk inspired millennial identity anthem, and the new Cannonball Adderall EP.

Yung Vul will bring their blend of improvised music to Preservation Hall on Saturday, July 1st at 11:00 PM.
