From the New Orleans Jazz Market:

Ernán López-Nussa developed his musical style in the 1980’s as part of the quintessential Cuban jazz group Afrocuba, mixing Cuban roots music with jazz and jazz-fusion. Ernán has been exploring the connections between New Orleans traditional jazz and Cuban traditional genres like Contradanza, Danzón and Son for many years and has performed with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Dr. Michael White. This will be his first public exploration of contemporary jazz of New Orleans and Cuba.

Ernán Lopéz-Nussa will perform cuban jazz piano with New Orleans jazz masters Herlin Riley (drums), Donald Harrison (saxophone), Wendell Brunious (trumpet), Alexey Martí (percussion), and Pat Casey (bass).
