Preservation Hall Foundation Receives Donation from Trashy Diva

Clothing Store Donates Money Raised from their Preservation Hall Collection

NEW ORLEANS - The Preservation Hall Foundation accepted a $6,000 donation from New Orleans based Trashy Diva.

Trashy Diva launched the Preservation Hall Collection this summer, with 10 percent of sales going to the Preservation Hall Foundation.

“It was a pleasure to partner with Trashy Diva, a wonderful local business that gives back to the community,” said Ashley Shabankareh, director of programs at the Preservation Hall Foundation. “Their donation will directly support the Foundation’s educational and community engagement programs.”

Inspired by the fabric art of Laura Jean Allen, their print features timeless motifs of New Orleans music and nightlife, including the iconic Preservation Hall drum. With a nod to mid-century jazz album covers and the Beat Generation, these bold neon sketches dance across smooth, silky rayon in squares of deep black, bright teal, and rich blue.
