Tuba to Cuba Premiere at SXSW

Last week at SXSW, we had the pleasure of premiering the new documentary by T.G. Herrington and Danny Clinch entitled "A Tuba to Cuba."

"A Tuba to Cuba" documents the Preservation Hall Jazz Bands' two week journey from New Orleans to Cuba to learn more about the roots of New Orleans music. 

Michael King of the Austin Chronicle wrote, "T.G. Herrington and Danny Clinch’s exhilarating record of a journey to Cuba (and so much more) by the PHJB is very likely to become a classic of the music documentary genre, filled with so much energy, elation, and inspiration that not even an endless PBS fundraiser could drain it of its vitality."

The premiere ended with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band leading the crowd out of the auditorium for a second line parade through the streets of Austin.
