World Wide Music Day at Preservation Hall
Preservation Hall will donate a portion of tonight's ticket sales to nonprofit organization
NEW ORLEANS - In honor of World Wide Music Day, Preservation Hall will donate a portion of tonight's ticket sales to Musicians without Borders.
World Wide Music Day, or Fête de la Musique, started in Paris in 1982 to make music free and accessible to everyone. Musicians without Borders uses today to help raise awareness about their work, the power of music and for people across the world to donate to continue their outreach programs.
Musicians without Borders promotes access to music as a basic human right and a powerful tool for social change, especially for people in war-torn communities.
