A MESSAGE FROM BEN JAFFE

Dear Foundation Friends,

What an extraordinary year it has been, and it’s all because of you! As we reflect on 2025, we’re filled with gratitude for the community of supporters that has shown up for us this year.

This year, your support helped us care for and uplift legacy New Orleans musicians, welcome students from across the country into Preservation Hall, and deepen our commitment to local youth through expanded in-person education led by Preservation Hall musicians themselves.

From classrooms and concert benches here in New Orleans to students learning around the world through our free Preservation Hall Lessons, your generosity made the music possible at every level: local, national, and global!

In 2025, We Reached More Local New Orleans Students Through PHF Workshops, Summer Camps, School Visits, and Kids in the Hall Programs.

We supported & implemented over 200 experiences for New Orleans students to engage in intergenerational mentorship and learn about cultural traditions from Preservation Hall musicians.

Bruce Brackman’s Masterclasses at Chalmette High helped land Orlando Espinoza-Martinez a full scholarship to Loyola University of New Orleans’ music program.

This marked our 10th year with Stomp Troopers - New Orleans’ only Mardi Gras marching krewe for teens with Autism and related exceptionalities.

Student engagement during summer programming increased +1,333%, camp visits increased +825%, and the number of musicians we employed doubled from summer 2024.

5,331 Students From 95 Schools Across the Country Visited Preservation Hall for Musician-Led Educational Field Trips and Workshops About New Orleans Music, Culture, and History.

Schools From 26 States Were Represented at Kids in The Hall.

Pass It On: Our Next Chapter

This year also marked significant momentum in our $25 million Pass It On campaign, our effort to build a home where jazz history, education, mentorship, performances, and exhibitions come together under one roof.

The Pass It On Campaign will:

• Expand music education and mentorship for students and emerging artists.

• Provide sustainable employment and creative space for our musical community.

• Create immersive public exhibition space to celebrate jazz heritage.

We’re humbled by the support our community has already shown, and we’re just getting started.

Help us keep the momentum going by supporting Pass It On today.
