About the Facilitators:
Elizabeth Peterson is a teacher, author and creator of The Inspired Classroom. Elizabeth specializes in professional development for teachers, and helping them integrate SEAL – an expansion of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) – in their classrooms.
Shannon Powell is a legendary New Orleans drummer, regular bandleader at Preservation Hall, and Preservation Hall Foundation Master Practitioner. Growing up in New Orleans' Treme neighborhood, young Shannon was surrounded by incredible drummers like Smokey Johnson and Josiah “Cíe” Frazier, who became his life-long mentors.
